What a DAY!!!

Well, today has been a crazy day. After I get the girls off to school, Sadie and I are going to go run a few erands. I open my car door and what do I find? A CAT!!!! I immediately look to see if I left a car window open. I did not. How long had this STRAY cat been stuck inside my car. I think back. Well, I didn't drive anywhere yesterday, I was home with a sick kid. This cat had been stuck inside my car since Wed. Oh my gosh!!! It stunk!!! There was poop and cat pee all over my car!!! He tore my ceiling, chewed the back window wires, scratchd the doors! I'm sick to my stomach! So I clean the best I can. I need to get to the bank to do a wire transfer before noon. I get to the bank and I forget to put the car in park. I jump back in to stop the car. Then I get about 10 min. into the wire transfer process and realize I forgot my wallet!! Even though they know me they have to have it for the numbers on my License. What a waste of time. Well my mom is with me so she says she will pay for stuff on our erands and I can just pay her back. Next stop, I need gas so we pull into QT and I get a drink and drive away- forgetting the GAS!! So I pray we make it to Sams club to get the cookies for the cookie party in front of my house in 2 hours. As we leave, it is 11:30 I call my friend to let her know that I had 2 more people give me money for pizza at the party. She answers the phone and says "Don't worry I have Hailey!" Oh my gosh!! I had forgotten my kindergardener who had half day and had been out of school since 10:10. Was I losing my mind???? I feel like I normally have it together. What was going on. The one thing that was good was The cookie party! This was the second year we did it. Its just in front of my house for the kids when they get off the bus. We decorate cookies, eat pizza, do little crafts, drink hot chocolate, and have christmas music and decorations. My neighbors are great and I never want to leave. It seems this neighborhood is constantly doing fun things. I did drop off my car to get a detail (keep in mind I just detailed my car 3 weeks ago). Hopefully the smell will be gone, and tomorrow will be a better day and I will have my brain back!

My sisters twins are here!! They came on Nov. 30th. My girls were so excited when we found out that she was at the hospital that I took just Kylie down to visit. I figured it was probably going to be a long night so I would take each of my girls down individually to visit Holly. Well, they came FAST!! So fast that I actually got to be in the room. It was the first birth I've ever seen. It was so incredible!!! Thanks Holly for letting me stay in the room. Its something I will never forget!! So, here is a picture of London Lynn and Brooklyn Bell. They were 5lbs 4 oz. and 5lbs 1oz. I've never seen babies that small, in our family they seem to be closer to the 10lb mark. =) Aren't they adorable?!!!!!

Well, like I said I'm not used to such small babies. Then my brother and his wife had their baby 2 days later on Dec. 2nd. She was 7 weeks early!!! She was even smaller at 3lbs 14 oz. WOW!!! I thought Derek was joking with me when he said Kristen was in the hospital, but he was serious. Her water broke and Karis was coming!! She also came very fast!! She is also a beautiful little girl. All three girls are still in the hospital getting stronger to come home!! Can't wait until they do!!!

Well in the past week and a half we've suvived 1. The ironman (which is crazy busy and emotionally exhausting)three days 2. A trip to California 3. Thanksgiving 4. Black friday shopping day 5. A baby shower at my house 6. My sister had twins 7. My brother and his wife had a baby girl 8. My mother n laws birthday. All these major events on top of the every day activities like swim practice, piano, grocery shopping,music class, gymnastics etc. etc. etc. Life is soooooooooooo crazy busy. BUT, it couldnt get any better!! I'm so thankful to have such a great family!

A Unbelievable Week!

It all started the Thurs. before Thanksgiving with all of the Ironman festivities and banquets. We are down on Mill every day for something. The dinner is very interesting. They give all the stats. In this Ironman there were 2400 athletes and there were 34 countries represented and all 50 states. Crazy huh! We are just lucky there happens to be one of these races in our back yard. The most athletes are in the 40- 44 age division! WOW!! I really think this is the only sport where people are All ages and the crazy thing is the 40 year old are the fastest!!!!! There was even a 77 year old man doing this. For those of you that dont know my dad did this race. He watched my brother and Derek do this about 1 1/2 years ago and decided then and there that he was going to do it. He's been training hard. He would get up at 2:30 in the morning so that he would have enough time to get a long enough work out in before work. Now thats committment!

Race morning starts by getting up at 4:00 am and leaving the house by 4:30am. Transition area opens at 5. Thats where you check your bike, get in your wet suit, get marked up with your race number etc. Here they are about to jump in the water . The race starts at 7:00. You can see its still dark and COLD!!! I bet they are all nervous here! I know I am!! You just never know what the day is going to bring. Its hard watching them. There are times when they are hurting and tired. Their body may be cramping up, they may feel sick. Its a long day!

This is us after the swim start waiting for them to come in. Its a 2.5 mile swim. Ironmans are mass starts. Its a unbelievable sight to see over 2000 people start swimming at the same time.

Derek and Scott did awesome. They came in together. What are the odds of that? They did it in 1 hour 2 min. Wow! Rick is just a crazy swimmer. He came in at 1:09 and he never even trains on his swimming. A natural fish! My dad came in at 1:20 WOW!! For those of you who dont swim often, 2.5 miles is like doing 160 laps in the pool!! CRAZY HARD!!

Then today we had my sister n law Kristens baby shower at my house! Once again no pictures! How lame am I ? Its been one FULL and GREAT week!

Well its here again!!! The Ironman is this weekend!!! So we have started this tradition of always having a kids tri the weekend before to get them excited for their dads, uncles and grandpa doing the race. Can you believe my dad is doing it? He is 57 years old. We looked up the race participants and there is like 2700 people doing it. Only 114 of them are my dads age or older. Pretty dang good if I do say so myself. I will be happy when its all over. I am nervous for him. Its a long day. It starts at 7 am and we predict he will finish around 10 pm if all goes well. Go Everybody!!!

So my friend (Amy Singleton) calls me the other day and says "I just forwarded you the funniest email you have got to see it." This is what it said:

Rand was at Costco yesterday eating lunch all by himself. It’s so funny what he sees sometimes. Usually he just has to tell us about it, but this time he got a picture. He said he watched the cashier put these stuffed horses into the lady’s cart and could only get them to fit like this. From what he could see, only him and a couple of employees that were eating near where he was sitting had dirty enough minds to pervert what’s sure to be a great Christmas for this lady’s two kids.

That's me!! How embarrassing! I did notice every one smiling at me. I just didn't realize why. The funny thing is I have no idea who took this picture. But he created a email, forwarded it around, and it happened to go to someone who recognized me. crazy! And why do I end up on the Internet on I day I didn't get ready? Just my luck. Don't tell my girls. It is a Christmas present. =)

It was one crazy weekend! Its definitely an indicator that the holidays are here. On Friday night we went to a party at our friends. It was so fun. People come with the craziest costumes. Its also nice to be just adults. You actually get to talk with your friends instead of chasing your kids around. On Saturday it was our ward trunk or treat. That was great as well. We came home with so much candy! Oh great! In between those two events we had my niece Ashtyns baptism, we celebrated the October birthdays on the Rogers side and then we carved pumpkins! Crazy!

A National Champion!

I'm sure everyone gets tired of hearing about triathalons!! I know I do! But it is such a part of our life. This past weekend Derek and I went to Vegas for a race. It was actually the National Championship. There were a few general entry slots but most everyone there had to have a cetrtain time in a past race to be able to compete. Derek competed in the half. Which is the mile swim, 56 mile bike and 13.1 mile run. He said it was the hardest race he has ever done. He heard it was a hard course but even then I dont think he was prepared for what it was. The bike felt like he was biking the Grand Canyon. It was all UP HILL! The last hour he was going about 6 miles per hour. That is extremely slow when normally he averages 22 MPH in races. WOW! Some people were actually walking their bikes cuz that was faster then riding them. Well, he ended up doing pretty good. He got FIRST in his division. How cool is that. All the people who placed in other divisions got offered a slot to Worlds which is in like Sweden or something. Every division except Dereks. He is in the Clydsdale division which is people over 200 lbs. Why even have the division if your not going to treat it the same. People who are my husbands size are NEVER going to be as fast as someone a lot smaller then him. He's a football player. He's naturally a bigger guy. Oh-well. Long story short is he did GREAT!! This was also the first time we left Sadie over night!! YEAH for us!! It was so nice. We went with some of our friends who were also there and saw the show KA at MGM. It was a awesome weekend!

A Circus came to Gilbert!

My dad came home from school and had buy one get one free tickets to a Circus at the Gilbert rodeo grounds. So what the heck we decided to go. It was great. We had front row seats. The elephants came so close that it actually scared me. I was imagining all those shows were animals go crazy or worse yet decided that it was time to go the bathroom. With all good comes a bad. And the bad was that it was outside with NO AIR CONDITIONING!! In Arizona at 4:00 in the afternoon. ITS HOT!!! Thank goodness for snow cones!

So, I tell my girls who are only 7 and 5 years old that they can have a few friends over for pizza and a movie. It was a friday night and and we were going to have friends over for a late night as they call it. (until about 9 or 9:30). So much for a quiet night watching a movie. I dont think they even know what movie was playing. They were all as hyper as could be!! Popcorn was everywhere and I think they attempted to play every game we own. CRAZY KIDS!! This is just a few of them.

Labor Day Weekend in Mexico!

Well another fun weekend in Mexico!! It was actually our partners weekend and they invited us to go with them!! It was a blast! This is the couple we originally went down with about 4 years ago and had such a good time we bought the condo on the spot! Such a impulse buy and neither one of us regret it. As a matter of fact I would say its the best purchase we've ever made! This is Derek with the kids playing the Wii. That is such a fun game. All ages enjoy it =) !

So we had another fun weekend! We flew to Dallas Texas for my brothers graduation. It was really neat for me to watch because it is a tradition that if you are graduating with your Doctorate and have a family member who is also a doctor they can present the diploma to you. So, Derek got to walk on the stage with Jeff and present him his diploma!!! It brought back many memories and I cant believe Derek has already been practicing almost 7 years!!! Time Flies!! We brought Sadie with us. It was fun to give her all the attention but it sure is not fun to fly with a 10 month old!! Were excited for Jeff! He's going to be great! Its also fun because Derek and Jeff are going to work together! Fun! Congrats Dr. Jeff Rogers!!

August is such a crazy month! Not only does school start but Derek, Kylie and Hailey all have birthdays along with 6 others in our family. We had a big swim party at my house to celebrate everyones birthday. We are having their friend parties in September when things slow down a little and it get s a little cooler.

Can these girls get any cuter!! They are so sweet!! Hailey was so excited for school. We are lucky and have the choice of full or half day kindergarten. I originally put her in full day. Thats what she says she wants. But, I just couldn't do it. I figure this is my last year before she is gone more then she's home so I switched her to half. I am so glad I did. She loves her teacher. She is also in a class that is mainly boys. Oh- great considering how boy crazy my four year old!!! Of course her favorite part of the day is recess. Kylie also loves her class. She got to pick her desk and got to sit in between two good friends. I cant wait to go volunteer in their classes to see them interacting with everyone.

Two Best Friends!!! Thank goodness for SISTERS!! Nothing makes a moms heart melt more then watching your two girls walk off into the world together holding hands.

So, another birthday for my dad which means of course another party. It seems there is always a reason to get together to EAT!!! Believe me I'm not complaining but it sure is hard to take off baby weight when you constantly have a reason to eat junk!! You would never believe my dad eats junk. Just look at him. He's all muscle! What 57 year old gets up and runs 16 miles before work. He's crazy! But I think he really likes it. Its pretty cool to be able to go work out with your dad and have him be able to not only keep up but do better then me and I'm only 34. WOW! Impressive.

A DREAM WEEKEND!!!!

What a dream weekend this was!!! I got to spend so much time with my family and my kids had some GREAT accomplishments that they worked very hard for ALL summer!!!! It started with their swim banquet on Thursday for their swim team. They each got a trophy and medal for all their hard work and then Kylie received an additional award called the Hustler award! I forgot my camera that night!!! What a bummer. Then on Friday Hailey has decided that she wants to do gymnastics now that swim is over. She went to a gymnastics princess camp!! Wow!! What a dream for a little girl. She did crafts, danced, tumbled had pizza a great day for her. I wanted to cry just watching her have fun, smile and dance around.

Then Saturday morning Kylie was asked to be in the STATE SWIM MEET!! Wow!! She competed in three events and placed in all three events!! In the 25 Butterfly she was 4th. In the 50 freestyle she was 3rd and in the 25 freestyle she got 7th. They received medals to 10th place so she got three medals!

Look how excited she is! We are SO proud!!

Heres the family at the meet. Grandma Pat, Sean, Jodi, Reese, Cody, Nici, Scott, and Grandma and Grandpa Rogers all came to cheer her on. Grandma and Grandpa brought dough nuts and drinks. That was awesome! It was very HOT!!!

Then there was a 3D Hanna Montana concert on TV. So we grilled steaks and had fun singing and watching Hanna Montana.

Then Sunday morning was a kids triathlon. It was the cutest thing to see such small kids do this!! Kylie, Hailey, Race, Kali and Trent all participated. So Red 26 was represented well!! They all did great and most importantly had fun!!!

We went on our annual family vacation and camped on the beach. It was the 21st year of doing this crazy thing. But, my family loves it. Dereks mom Pat came with us this year and that was a BIG HELP!!! Sadie did great! She is such a good girl and adjusts to life great wherever we are!

This is the last day we were all there (except for Summers family). We are all dirty but happy and tan!

Kylie was learning to boogie board this year and loved it. Its great because now Derek has someone to play with and isn't always dragging me into the water. =)

Lego land was a great time! It was Derek's first time. Sadie did wonderful as well. It was another great vacation!

We got the chance to get out of the heat for a few days and go to our familty cabin in Greer. We had a blast. It was so fun to do something different with my girls because it seems whenever we go on vacation it tends to be somewhere with a beach. My girls loved it. They played outside for hours making forts, exploring , hide and go seek, anything and everything they did. Here are a few pictures.

We went to a great parade in downtown Springer ville. The kids loved it. Every float that went by threw out candy.

One of my favorite things is at the end of the day when you take a bath, put on clean pajamas and have a fire. And, you can't have a fire without roasting marshmallows.

Our 11 Year Anniversary!

Well I actually got a little creative this year. One thing that Derek and I like to do is travel. But, this year we really couldn't go anywhere because we have a 8 month old. So, I made Derek a small little scrapbook that I titled "Our Passport." Then, that morning I woke him up, gave him the passport with a little letter telling him we are going to spend the week traveling the world. I took pictures at each destination and I will fill the scrapbook with them. The first note said we were going to France and going to have French toast in bed. Then we went to Africa to visit our friends in a "TRIBE" (thats his favorite bike shop) To get him a new bike seat that he wanted. Then to Mexico for lunch. We then went to see our friends from Russia in a movie. (that was the new Indians Jones movie) Then, he had to go to the land of opportunity- America to work =). He At work I had him take a break to have some chocolates from Belgium. When he got home we went to outer space and had a picnic under the stars in the backyard. It was a great day. Coming up we are going to Sweden for a Swedish massage and going to Spain for a salsa dance class. FUN FUN FUN! To top it off with a lunch in the Mediterranean. Lots of fun little memories! Yeah to us for 11 years!

Look at these cute little swimmers!!! This is Haileys first year on swim team. I have to admit I was a little nervous! But, today was her third day and I am so impressed! She is going to be so good at all her strokes by the end of summer. She loves going and is such a good listener to her coaches. Kylie is a pro. I almost feel its to easy and that she should go up to the next age group but, we want it to be fun for her so we are leaving her where she is. The coaches use her as their example to show the kids the correct way to do strokes. She gets so embarrassed but it makes her feel good. I'm definitely proud of them.

Mothers Day!

Any holiday that comes is jammed packed with parties, including mothers day! Every year we have a party to honor our grandma. This year it was at my moms house. She always goes above and beyond. The food was great, cute centerpieces and even apron party favors that she and a bunch of us got together and made. This is a picture of the great grandchildren and grandma. They all sang her a couple of songs. The next morning we had a brunch at my house for my mom and then dinner with Dereks family for his mom. It was a great day. My girls woke me up by bringing me a bowl of cereal that they did all by themselves, with spilled milk downstairs to prove it =) They are so cute. They were trying so hard to make me happy. They also made me a ton of cute crafts. They are still in my kitchen, I just cant seem to put them away. I am the luckiest person alive! I LOVE MY FAMILY!!!

WOW! My kids are getting so big! Hailey can now ride a bike without her training wheels on. I think it really helps to have a bis sister. She wants to be like Kylie. Anything Kylie does Hailey wants to do. She kept asking us to take her training wheels off, so we decided it was time. She did it immediately! We were impressed! She must of got her talent from her mom =) !!

Dereks an IRONMAN for the SECOND time!!!!

WOW! He did it again!!! This is a accomplishment that a lot of people don't realize the amount of sacrifice and determination that it takes to complete one of these races!! My brother Scott and Derek did one last year and this year have recruited my brother Rick and Brother n law Ricky to join them. For those of you that don't know how hard this race is, just imagine this. They start by swimming 2.4 miles!Swimming is hard especially in a lake with a group start of about 2,200 people. It just chaotic!!! You literally get beat up and pushed around as you are trying to swim. Then they ride a bike 112 miles!!! That's like going to Tucson !! WOW!! To top it off it was a abnormally HOT day- 95 degrees and very windy!! That's not fun when your about to venture on a 5-6 hour bike ride!! Then after that they take off to run a marathon!! Another 26.2 miles!!! Making it a total of 140 miles!! Can you imagine that? I can't! You have a time limit of 17 hours to complete it in. They all did great !!! Derek came in first at 12:07:56
then Scott came in at 12:12:53 Ricky came in at 13:34:15 and then Ricky H came in right after at 13:40:56 . They had a extremely high number of drop outs this year because of the weather conditions. I am so proud of all of them. Derek got a massage right after. Then a few hours later I realized Derek wasn't acting right. At first I though he was just tired, but soon realized I should take him over to the medical tent. He was extremely dehydrated!!! He was dizzy, wasn't making sense when he talked, he was just staring off in space. For those of you that know Derek that's not like him, even if he was tired. So, they gave him a IV of fluid. That brought him back to normal!! To complete a event like this- these guys would get up and run 20 miles at 4:00 am while everyone else is sleeping and then go to work. They would go on 7-8 hour bike rides on Saturday and then still have play dad and get their honey do lists done instead of laying on the couch! Life still goes on they would just have to find a place to add in all these extra workouts like at 4:00 am! Now, that dedication!! This has been a great bonding experience for the family as well! We have a team name, team sweatshirts, t-shirts, hats, bike jerseys, even bumper stickers for the cars!! For the big day, we had over 100 shirts ordered for spectators. We had aunts, uncles, cousins, all the nieces and nephews, friends etc, come cheer them on !! We appreciate all the support! These guys deserve it!! There' s not to many people who can say they completed a IRONMAN!! But leave it Derek, he makes the impossible , possible!! I Love you BABE!!

Kylies Field Trip to the ZOO!!!

Kylies class just went to the zoo for a field trip. I am so lucky to be able to go on field trips and participate in my kids activities!! I got lucky and had the BEST group!! Only three girls who were so sweet and good listeners! I sat by Kylie on the bus and we just talked and played. It was so fun to have such good quality time with her. One thing I learned was that all the boys like Kylie. Thats a little scarey!!!! I also enjoyed seeing Kylie interact with all her friends. She sometimes seems so shy, but shes really not. Just a good kid! I hope to be able to do this stuff with all my kids!

Kylies First Grade Program

Kylie had her first grade program and it was adorable!!! She is just so cute! Her class were the bears! She was on stage for three songs and in the front row! So it was easy to see her!! She knew all the words and did all the dance moves the BEST!!! The pictures are her with her BFF Dakota and the picture of her and the boy is Adam. He is our neighbor and they are great friends. They just get embarrassed to be by each other in public. They wouldn't even stand by each other for the picture. How funny is that!

Our Triathalon for kids!!!

Triathlons have really become a way of life in our family. My brother Scott decided that he wants to start a new tradition. Every weekend before the IRONMAN he is going to put on a race for the kids. As you can see, nothing is ever done simple in my family. They had matching shirts and my mom made them matching hats. Scott got to my house early and started the day by marking the streets, setting up cones, and even giving each kid their own transition area. As the kids arrived he marked them up with their numbers and they each even had laminated numbers to pin on their shirts. They started off with doing a few stretches and then the pledge to the flag. It was so cute. Then off to the swim. Each kid had to do laps in our pool. The number depended on how old the kid was. Then off to the bike portion. They all worked hard. Holly even made the cutest aid station for them to get drinks, bananas, oranges. etc. Totally adorable!!!! They ran a few laps and each got to run to the finish line and break the ribbon!! They each received a medal. Then off the the park for a pizza party and awards ceremony! Scott presented each kid with a certificate of completion. It was a great day!!!!

EASTER!!!

Easter is such a fun holiday!! The girls get so excited!!! We started off by coloring eggs in Mexico. Thats always a favorite. Then we had a party the day before Easter to celebrate my moms birthday. Her birthday happened to fall on Easter this year. Summer always does such cute things and she did a egg hunt for the kids that taught the meaning of Easter and why we have it. Kylie also had to give a talk at church this year on Easter. She is getting so big. She makes me proud. She did a great job!! Derek sent me on a hunt and I found roses and doughnuts!!! Thats a great way to start the day!!! We are lucky to have so much family close by. It also always works out. You would think the family parties would over lap but we always seem to be able to make both. My mom and dad went way over board ( WHATS NEW!?) We always get the biggest baskets. Its fun being 34 and still getting a basket! WOW!! Then we ended the long day with a party at Dereks aunts house.

I don't know how I would do it all by myself!!! I really like having the age difference between my girls! They are 6, 4, and now 5 months!! They love to help me with Sadie! Weather its holding her, getting her a bottle or blanket, or even feeding her!! And as you can see, she rarely misses a meal =) !! Isn't that chair she's in the best invention ever!!!

Disneyland for Valentines!!

Disneyland was a blast!!! I was so worried to be going with a four month old, but it was so easy!!!! Sadie went on most of the rides with us, and then we did the stroller pass on the ones she couldn't go on! My girls loved it!! I do feel guilty about one thing- We got them to go on The Tower of Terror ride in California adventure! That was scary- even for me!!!! For those of you that don't know- You basically free fall a long ways!!! I was proud of them!!! We had dinner with the princesses! That was really fun to get to talk and meet all the princesses one on one! The one ride we did not get to go on was the new Nemo ride! The lines were super long! Derek got to though! We had early entry into the park and we were all to tired to get up- but NOT DEREK! He went to Disneyland all by himself to ride Nemo!! He's definitely still a kid at heart! Overall- it was a great trip!!

Well I'm proud to say that my girls had another dentist appointment and NO cavities!!!! But, the dentist did say that I needed to let my girls brush their OWN teeth! I'm kind of embarrassed to say that thats something I've always done for them because I feel like kids don't brush that good! So, I guess I better let them learn for themselves! =)

Mexico for New Years!!!

Another fun trip to Mexico!!! Every time we are down there I think to myself that the Condo was our best purchase ever!!!! Its such good, fun, quality family time!! Its so close to home and I love my girls learning how other people live and that everyone doesn't even have carpet in their homes!!! That we need to be thankful for what we have. Its such a good learning experience. The condo is getting more and more like home. We now have Directv , internet and a Vonage phone which is just our home phone transferred to our condo there. It doesn't cost a thing. We could talk to someone in Arizona all day if we want and there is no long distance fees!!! Its the best ever!!! Its just like we are home!! We went with the Rays! They are our good friends, and their kids are the same ages as ours. We always have a good time with them! We Jacuzzied, ate, and built fires on the beach! It was a blast!! I actually made it to midnight! I can't believe its already 2008!!

Christmas

We love Christmas!!! It is a month of nothing but parties and food!!! It gets more fun every year! My girls get so excited!! They would tell me everyday what they WANT for Christmas! It is so hard to try and teach your kids that Christmas is about giving =) But, by the time Christmas is over, I'm ready for it to be over. I want to take my tree down on Dec. 26th and get my house back together again!!!! This year in our families traditional acting out of the nativity. Sadie got to be baby Jesus and my other two girls were angels. They loved it. Kylie is so shy. She doesn't want to look out directly at the family staring at her, and tries not to smile. Its hilarious!!! Hailey just eats up the attention. It seemed like we made cookies every other day for neighbors, ward cookie exchange, a family cookie exchange, the neighborhood party and of course for SANTA!!! I definitely didn't take off any baby weight in the month of December!!! We have a family tradition that I love. On Christmas eve, Derek and I wake up the girls when Santa is at our house and we spy on him!! This year I even got a picture!! The girls wanted a picture to prove to their friends that they saw SANTA!! They get so excited and so scared!!! Over all, It was a great Christmas!!!

Cookie Party!!!!

Theres no better way to bring people together then food!!!! Especially sweets!!! So, I decided to throw a cookie party for my girls bus stop and their parents!!!! We had a great turnout and lots of help from the other moms!!! After school we set up a bunch of tables in the street in front of our house and we had over 300 cookies, tons of colors of frosting, sprinkles, candy anything you can think of to decorate a cookie with. It was a half day of school so we also had sandwiches, fruit, apple cider and christmas music playing. We had a craft that was a christmas ornament to do as well. The kids had a blast and it was nice to get to know other neighbors as well!

For the last two years we have gone to Mexico the day after Thanksgiving!!! We LOVE it down there!!! It is just so relaxing!! Its the perfect place for a weekend getaway!
The trip isn't complete without going into town and getting Thrifty ice cream! Getting ready for bed to watch a movie!! This was Sadies first trip!! She did great in the car!

How cool is this! Summer is a cool aunt! The night that Shrek came out she had a party! We had pizza on cool Shrek plates, then watched the movie! All the girls got their own Shrek baby and had Shrek ears! While the kids watched the movie, Summer gave me and Holly a make-up make over! It was a blast!! Thanks Summer!

Well, another Race has come and gone! We always have fun as spectators! It was Sadies first one and she did GREAT!!! We found a great spot where the kids have a blast playing on all the rocks!! My Dad did his first olympic distance race and finished strong! He has since signed up for ironman 2008! WOW!! Derek, Scott and Kris all beat their times from last year!! Very Happy!!! Ricky R, Ricky H, and Jay all did their first Half ironman and all finished as well!! Both Rickys are also signed up for IRONMAN 2008!!! We have a good sized team now! We designed our own t-shirts and named the team RED 26! Red for the color of the m-dot logo and 26 because thats the number on the periodic table for iron. Pretty creative I thought! Sorry for Dereks picture being sideways! Not sure how to rotate the picture! OOPS!!

HALLOWEEN was a BLAST like always!!!! I think its one of my favorite holidays! Between The ward party, our friends annual party and my mom always has a big bash we definitely get the use out of our costumes! Derek was the Burger King guy, I was a Geisha girl, Kylie was a bride in the picture and the Corpse bride on Halloween night. She was not allowed to be the Corpse Bride at her school party so she was a bride then we changed her to be the scary costume at night. Hailey was the Island Princess and Sadie was a little tiger. Derek really liked me in my wig and convinced to me to change my hair color. I have since gone back to my original color and also cut my hair. I will show a picture later!

WOW!!! She's finally here!!! I already can't imagine life without her!! She is the best baby ever! She even makes me want another one!! We named her Sadie Love! She was 8lbs 4oz's. Labor was a breeze. I felt great immediately after. Her sisters absolutely adore her and are great helps!! She barely wakes up in the night and just looks around when she's awake! I think she looks like her dad. She definitely has his beautiful blue eyes! Dad is definitely out numbered with all the girls in the house. But secretly I think he likes it. He took the girls to the gym the other day at 5:00 a.m. before school to swim. They loved it. They jumped put of bed. Then, he took them to a family fun run on Saturday. The girls did great! He can still have little athletes!! =)

I am so glad she is in a preschool! Since Kylie goes to school every day, Hailey wants to go. She loves it. She is such a smart kid! She is very outgoing. She wants to play with friends all day everyday. She misses Kylie. It's weird when she is in class because I don't have any kids at home. But, not for long. That is part of the reason that helped us decide to have another baby. I'm just not ready to have my kids gone yet =(

I came home one day to a surprise!!! A pet ferret! At first I was a little grossed out, but I have to admit she has grown on me. My girls LOVE her. The newness still has not worn off and I'm starting to think that its not going to. The first thing they do when they wake up is get the ferret, and the last thing they do before they go to bed is play with the ferret!

Derek Swims Alcatraz!!!

My husband is Crazy! He is always looking for the next challenge! So, We flew to San Francisco (our last alone getaway before the baby is born) so that Derek could be dropped off about 2 miles into the ocean to see if he could swim back! WOW!! I was impressed! It was so cold! I was on the shore, dry, 2 jackets on, a hat, and still sat inside a car most of the time, while he was swimming! Crazy! But, he did it! Very Cool! We had a GREAT weekend together!
